Free Entry Days to National Parks in 2019

By Season Bos, Publisher, Macaroni Kid Cary & Macaroni Kid Wake Forest January 20, 2019

Each year the National Parks Service waives the entry fee to more than 400 national parks across the country on specific days. This year, the free entry days are:

  • January 21st (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
  • April 20th (kicking off National Park Week)
  • August 25th (National Park Service Birthday)
  • September 28th (National Public Lands Day)
  • November 11th (Veterans Day)

The waiver is for entry fees only, and does not cover amenity or user fees for things like camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours. Read more about fee-free days.

Alternately, visit Every Kid in a Park to obtain free admission for your family for a whole year if you have a 4th grader.
