As a Licensed Psychological Associate and Nationally Certified School Psychologist, Alison has a keen interest in and extensive experience working with preschool- and school-aged children, including those with developmental delays, learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, and other behavioral and emotional concerns. For several years, she worked as a school psychologist, providing psychological evaluations, intervention development, and consultative services. She is well-versed in the special education evaluation and eligibility process within the public school system.
By using various assessment techniques, as well as consulting and collaborating with others, Alison employ practices that promote home, school, and community partnerships and enhance learning and mental health goals. Her reports are very comprehensive and provide recommendations and strategies useful for both home and school settings.
Recently, she has developed a strong interest in the research supporting the use of yoga with children. In the past, she has offered group yoga classes with the goals of improving emotional and behavioral regulation, focus, and social interactions.
